In collaboration with a Dutch electronics company, SO-WATT developed the Smart Solar Module, the technological heart of our lighting.
Thanks to the built-in Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT), solar energy is optimally stored in the battery, even on cloudy days.
At night, the module powers the LEDs. Using a smart algorithm, it automatically adjusts brightness based on the available battery charge and the length of the night. This ensures our lamps remain reliable, even during the winter months. We developed a dedicated Smart Solar Module for both the ALANTA and the GRUNDA. While both operate on the same principle, they differ in capacity.
Our lighting is equipped with high-quality, integrated solar panels that ensure optimal energy generation. As a result, the battery charges reliably even on less sunny days. The panels are made from tempered glass, making them virtually unbreakable.
Each lamp is equipped with a generously sized lithium battery, known for its high energy density and long lifespan. Thanks to the large battery capacity, only a portion of the available energy is used per cycle. This significantly extends the battery’s life and allows for a projected usage of at least ten years. If needed, the battery can be easily replaced.
Our warm white LEDs provide long-lasting, reliable illumination. An asymmetrical lens ensures that a wide area is lit efficiently and evenly.
The ALANTA comes standard with a PIR motion sensor that activates full brightness for 30 seconds upon detection. This ensures sufficient light when needed while minimizing unnecessary light pollution. The GRUNDA can be optionally equipped with a PIR motion sensor. Upon request, we can individually program the settings of the Smart Solar Module.
